Ibanez Gio Review
![]()
The Ibanez Gio is a very nice "strat-like" electric guitar.
It's perfect for beginners, because it's a very affordable,
high quality guitar with a great sound.
This guitar offers the quality and craftsmanship of Ibanez
guitars at an accessible price.
The Gio has a HSS pickup configuration, rosewood fretboard,
22 frets, 5 way pickup selector, 2 single coils and humbucker
on the (Floyd Rose type) bridge, whammy bar (tremolo),
one volume and one tone knob.
The quality of the sound is amazing, it really sounds awesome
(especially for it's pricerange) and it has the versatility to play
almost everything.
This guitar also has great action and is easy to play.
Another positive thing about the Gio is that it's very durable
(able to survive accidental bumps and even droppings).
The only "negative" thing I can think of is that this guitar can
loose intonation rather quickly.
Conclusion:
This guitar is a really good choice for a beginner as well as an
intermediate player.
The price/quality proportion is excellent and the sound is truly
amazing.
On top of that it looks very nice, has great action, is easy to
play and very durable.
I'd certainly recommand it to anyone!
